Useful German Links/Games
-Is a language learning guide site. It does walk you through learning a language. The activities do not always match up to what we are doing, but if you would like some more practice this site does offer you that.
- Is a German dictionary and can be your first stop for a new vocabulary word. Do not use Google translate as a dictionary.
-Is a news website where you can get cultural information. This is a great site for Culture Hours, research and even some language learning practice. If you go to the bottom of the page there is a section called "Deutsch Lernen". Click there to work on your German.
- Is a German dictionary similar to our Webster dictionary. All definitions are given in German. This is a good resource for Level 3 or 4 to check if they had chosen the correct word from Leo. Do not use Google translate as a dictionary.
- This website offers you a free place to download German literature. Some examples are the original Grimm Brother Fairy Tales. Be sure to read them in German. This site is great for the advanced reader (German 3/4) and for culture hours.
-This website is sponsored by the Goethe Institut. Here you can explore German music and culture. This could also be a great place to get some culture ideas.
